Kidz Time 1: Bible Verses A-Z

“Wait there until I finish getting everything ready!”

Eyes widen as your kids wonder why you are making a mess by placing flip flops, sandals, boots, and Crocks  in a squiggly line throughout the house. “Has mom lost her mind,” they wonder.

“Just one more minute,” you call as you place a the “Follow Me” printable (below), a favorite summer treat, their Bible, and crayons on the kitchen table.

“Now you can come! Welcome to KIDZ TIME!” you greet them with a big smile and hug.

“Today, our Kidz Time Bible verse is:

FOLLOW ME

Matthew 19:21

“Jesus wants us to follow Him. When we do, He will take care of us and help us. What does it mean to follow?

Let’s follow the shoes throughout the house and see where they lead us.”

PLACE THE LAST SHOE in the kitchen where you have set up the Kidz Time Craft.

Craft:  Child traces over the line that leads to Jesus.

Activity/Game:  Child “follows” Daddy or Mother’s shoes pre-placed throughout the room, trying to step into them.

Teaching:  Just like we follow the path of the shoes, Jesus wants us to follow Him and His teachings.

KIDZ TIME BIBLE VERSE:  C:  Cast your worries on Jesus because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

CRAFT:  Child cuts out pictures of “worries” from a magazine; then “hooks” them to fishing pole with tape or pipe cleaner. The worry might be a picture of fire, the dark, a big dog, etc.  If your child doesn’t have a fishing pole, make a pole with a dowel and the line with yarn.

ACTIVITY/GAME:  Child casts the worry across a draped sheet to mom; who is posed on the other side as Jesus and who takes the worry from the fishing pole.

TEACHING:  We  can “cast” our worries on Jesus by praying to Him. He cares for us.

Why miss 1 day of sharing Jesus with your child?

Keep it simple, but keep the truths of God’s Word flowing into their hearts.
