Moms, Are You Eating Organic Food?

Spread the love

Dear Sluggish-Yet Sweet Moms,

Are you tired, run-down, strung-out and simply feeling unhealthy? Well, it’s time to change the way you are EATING!  It’s time to eat ORGANIC and NON GMO foods!

Yes, it is true you will pay a little more for your food. But isn’t it worth it to be healthy, so you can give your best to your kiddos and family? If you are not taking care of yourself, then you simply will not have the energy to take care of others and be the mom your kids need.

And wouldn’t you rather pay a little more for food now? To avoid exorbitant health-costs later, sweet moms, choose foods that have no preservatives, have no high fructose corn syrup, and are labeled Organic and Non Gmo.

Don’t just take my word for it, do your own quick web search, and you will find a lot of information about why eating organic foods is healthier for you. And they also taste better too!

So, moms, let’s eat more like God intended us to eat. The scariest thing to me is not only the pesticides that are on our foods, but the genetically modified foods that we were never intended to eat. God tells us in the book of Genesis that He created all the foods we will ever need.

And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food.” (Genesis 1:29 ESV)

So, why are we eating genetically modified foods? The answer is simple. Money. The almighty dollar and companies who have become greedy have created NEW food products for the consumer. But wait! We do not need new food products; we need to eat foods created by God, not created by man!

Here is a couple of tips for beginning to eat the way God intended:

1. Look for the USDA Organic stamp on foods in your grocery store. If the food is just labeled natural-it’s NOT organic.

2. Buy from local organic farmers. You can usually find a local CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) on the web or at a local farmer’s market.

3. When shopping at your local grocery store, go online to the grocery store website and see what manufacturer’s coupons they have to print out before you shop.

4.  Most grocery stores have an organic section. If not, shop the outside walls of the grocery store.  The inner aisles are chock-full of junk food and food filled with preservatives.

5. Read the ingredients labels on your food. If you can’t pronounce the ingredients or don’t recognize what the ingredients are, DON’T buy the product.

Happy organic grocery shopping to you!

Sincerely,

Allison D
