Merry Mom Madness

THE RUSH IS ON!

By the time this post appears, moms around the world have stood in long lines to pay for groceries to celebrate Thanksgiving, battled crowds for Black Friday sales and begun the race to get it all done by Christmas.

As I have grown older I see the value of planning ahead, keeping it simple and doing things at my own pace – financially, physically and emotionally. I no longer succumb to the hectic demand of the season.

Ask yourself WHO?

Who says you must go to EVERY party you are invited to?

Who says you should bake EVERYTHING from scratch?

Who says you should OVER-EXTEND your budget

to buy gifts you can’t afford?

GIFT GIVING

I have a friend who does four gifting things for each of her children at Christmas.

There are various versions, but I call mine the

K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Santa!) Christmas Gift Guide.

  1. Something they want.
  2. Something they need.
  3. Something to wear.
  4. Something to read.

This helps you have peace, save money and delight each child in a unique way.

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you: not as the world gives, give I to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

THE REAL MEANING OF CHRISTMAS

Christmas isn’t about the buying presents and running yourself ragged.

It’s about making Christ the center of the celebration!

Share with us below in the comment section traditions you do or would like to do that would bring Christ closer to the hearts of your children and create an atmosphere of love, family, and faith?

Blessings to you and yours this Christmas.
