Children Are a Blessing: Psalm 127:3

Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. (Psalm 127:3 NIV) 

Make no mistake, children are a gift to us from our Lord Jesus Christ. Children are created by God, and he blesses us with them. They are not just gifts, but precious rewards hand picked and created by God.

So Moms, the next time you are tired and run down from a crazy, busy week, remember not to take it out on your precious little gift from God. Slow down, take a few minutes for yourself (even if it’s in the bathroom because that’s the only time you get alone). Breathe, pray and know that God meant your children as a GIFT.

And, for the mom who is expecting her first baby, I know you might be scared, but please know that this is God’s plan for your life.

He won’t let you down, and He will take care of you and your baby if you listen to Him and learn to follow His will. 

I can say this with complete faith and assurance because I  thought I was alone when I found out that I was going to have a baby. But, I can promise you that God was with me through everything, the good, the bad and the ugly.

Before I was saved, I lived a drastically different life. I was a single mom, and I was terrified of my future. I faced many difficult situations during the eight years that I raised my daughter as a single parent; through it all, God never left my side!

So sweet Moms, just remember your children are a wonderful gift.
