Have you ever hoped to have a perfectly wonderful day, date, or evening; then ruined it by something you did or said? It’s a sickening feeling. You wish you could have a do-over. But that’s just in movies. We canNOT go back. We canNOT not see things we’ve seen or heard words we’ve heard.
So today, make plans to not ruin your day. Take seriously the following two tips:
1. DO Remember how much Jesus loves you & what real love is.
Love is patient,
love is kind
and is not jealous;
love does not brag
and is not arrogant,
does not act unbecomingly;
it does not seek its own,
is not provoked,
does not take into account a wrong suffered,
does not rejoice in unrighteousness,
but rejoices with the truth.
2.DO NOT Go see Fifty Shades of Grey – Satan’s “take” on love…
Bondage, Whips
Pain,
Degradation,
Impatient,
Unkind
Jealous;
Arrogant,
Acting unbecomingly;
Seeks its own,
is easily provoked,
Causes suffering,
Rejoices in unrighteousness
Unless I’m confused, Jesus was beat, slapped, wrists tied to a post, and whipped so that WE WOULD NOT SUFFER pain; so we would experience TRUE LOVE.
Moms, we need to GUARD our hearts and minds and stay focused on what true love is; demonstrated by Christ.
SAY YES to Jesus and the outpouring of love He lavishes on you through the Holy Spirit. SAY NO to anyone who wants to treat you like the devil treated Jesus.
God has defined love, and it has nothing to do with Fifty Shades of Grey.
Satan is on the loose, posing as an angel of “enlightened” reading and movie going that will spice up one’s sex life. The truth is – Satan’s ways degrade and ruin people and relationships.
We will never have February 14, 2015 again. But today, we can CHOOSE REAL LOVE – GOD’S LOVE for US. We can STAY AWAY from Fifty Shades of Grey, the book and movie. We can model to our children:
1) RUNNING TO and THINKING ON that which GOD TELLS US: whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. (Philippians 4:8)
2) The WILL of GOD: For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that is, that you abstain from sexual immorality; 4 that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, 5 not in lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God; (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5)
You’ll never have this Valentine’s Day again. Rejoice in God’s love for you today. Don’t let Satan ruin it.
Heavenly Father, I pray for each sweet mom – that she choose to believe in and know Your love, which is kind and pure. Strengthen her to stand against Satan’s schemes. Use her to model to her children how to be a holy vessel and stand against the ways of our fallen world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
